ABOUT THE PILLOWCASE PROJECT
Started in 2013, the mission of The Pillowcase Project is to create lasting, sustainable change for women, children, and families living in some of the poorest communities across the globe. Our vision is to empower them by providing the tools and necessary means to start their own business.
WHAT WE DO
The foundation of The Pillowcase Project is rooted in the tangible act of collecting new and gently used pillowcases, re-purposing them into dresses for distribution to children and as a business option for women.
Our project was first started in a village called Anjech, in rural western Kenya and has since expanded to surrounding villages. The goal is to work with women worldwide to improve their economic situation.
